Randstad is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer, for direct integration in a company, with offices located in the north of Aveiro.
Hybrid work (3 remote days and 2 office days each week).
This Test Automation professional will design and create automated tests for hardware and software. On-premise hardware setup maintenance and testing. Creating BDD's and ocasional C# development. Will be testing with hardware setups that he has to understand and maintain himself on-premise.
Important requirements for the position are: more than 3 years of experience with test automation, experience with hardware setups, experience with C#, Gherkin and BDD.

Design, code, unit-test and document the software for the C# test framework.
Design and implement BDD based tests using Gherkin, Cucumber.
Refine user stories and decide what tests to automate and how.
Document the requirements and design of the tests and the test framework.
Implement user story tests, performance and load tests.
Decompose the design into user stories and tasks and estimate.
Ensure operation of testing : daily testing, exploratory testing and release testing.
Plan the order of development according to sprints.
Work according to Agile/scrum.
Keep up to date with technical development.
Drive for continuous improvement and submitting defects of failing tests
Execute manual testing to support the system testers while performing release testing.
competências
More than 3 years of experience in C# (mandatory requirement).
Experience with Gherkin, BDD, Blackbox, GUI testing, Cucumber is important.
Experience in software testing (happy flows, boundary testing, coverage) is important.
Knowledge of design & modeling methods like UML, OOAD (important).
Good English communication skills (intermediate level is a mandatory requirement).
Understanding of Solid principles and how to apply in software design.
Experience in Python programming language or similar is valued.
Experience with tools such as SVN and GIT or similar is valued.
Experience using Docker is valued.
Interest in Software Testing Automation
Experience with some of these is also valued: wired communication protocols, TCP/IP, Ethernet, safety critical systems, Specflow, .NET, SCons.
