If so, please read further!The RoleWe are searching for a full-time resource based in our Brazilian office to handle trade operations.
You will be in direct contact with our operations executives, suppliers and customers as well as our trading teams.
Subsequently, you will be responsible for planning, execution, documentation and finalizations of sugar shipments.Main TasksProtecting value for the company, performing daily tasks with diligence and responsibility.Planning of purchases and sales contracts in containerized shipments and potentially, break-bulk and truckloads.Monitoring contractual position, mitigate and report any operational risks to manager and operations/trading teams.Managing customer service/relationships on execution side (suppliers, buyers and 3rd party service providers).Preparation/verification/issuance of shipping documents for purchases and sales in various modalities, eg.
FCA, FOB, CFR and ex-works.Invoicing and system entries in Agiblocks.Monitoring and administrating accounts payables and receivables (L/Cs, bank guarantees, CADs, deposits) and customers' performance.L/Cs negotiation.Cargoes insurance policies.Handling quality claims and various customer complaints.Working closely with GAR global sugar teams around the globe, i.e.
trading, freight and accounting departments.Any ad hoc projects on Logistics/Documents/Customer Service.Issuance of all shipping documents, eg.
BLs, Certificate of origin, Quality certificates, etc.Management of the customs clearance process and all routines related to the export process procedures of purchases basis FCA and ex-works, on behalf of suppliers.Coordination of container stuffing/delivery program with the stuffing terminals, container shipping lines and suppliers, as well as internal GAI/GAR stakeholders.The role will be reporting to the Director of GAR Brazil.
The team consist of 5 colleagues, all based in São Paulo.QualificationsBSc / MSc or equivalent in Business, Economics, Agriculture, or Supply Chain Management.Knowledge of International Trade Terms (Incoterms), international shipping documentation.Working experience in the international trade or export logistics industry, preferably with containerized shipments or other high-volume goods such as chemicals, metals, or consumer products.Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems like SAP or Agiblocks.Minimum of 3 years of experience in execution/logistics for exports.Working experience in the commodity trading industry, specifically with sugar or other agricultural products.Experience in handling Letters of Credit (L/Cs) negotiation, cargo insurance policies, and customs clearance processes.Excellent knowledge of Portuguese and English; French is a plus.High level of education and significant experience within an international office environment.PersonalityProactive and always looking for areas for improvement, with a strong sense of initiative.Organized and logical, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing policies, procedures, and market conditions.Able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, maintaining clear communication with both colleagues and clients.Skilled at solving operational and logistical problems with a creative and analytical approach.Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.A humble team player with an independent mindset, capable of taking ownership of responsibilities.A good communicator with a dynamic personality that fosters collaboration.Adaptable to a small, start-up-style structure where tasks and responsibilities evolve frequently.What we offerWe offer an entrepreneurial and international environment where developing opportunities for growth is valuedProfessional development of our employees is important to us, therefore we offer several training and development opportunities both locally as well as globally.Our office is located in a beautiful and modern space, just a 3-minute walk from the Paulista metro station, offering convenience and accessibility for our employees.Flexibility on working hoursIf you are excited about this opportunity and ready to take the next step in your career, please apply directly via this LinkedIn job posting.
