Overview: The V&V (Verification and Validation) area at Alstom is essential for ensuring that railway systems and components meet quality, safety, and performance requirements before implementation. In this position, the intern will support verification and validation activities, including conducting functional and non-functional testing, risk analysis, and process documentation, collaborating multidisciplinary with engineering and operations teams. The goal is to ensure that our products deliver reliability and safety, contributing to excellence in mobility and transportation.
Specific responsibilities of the role: Assist in the preparation and execution of verification and validation tests for software systems developed for railway applications.Review software requirements.Participate in code reviews and team meetings to discuss improvements.Documentation of results and analysis of compliance with specified requirements.Collaboration with software engineers and other disciplines to resolve issues.Continuous improvement of V&V processes by providing suggestions based on observations made during testing.Participate in the development of products for internal process automation in the V&V (Verification and Validation) area.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the integration of technological solutions.Document processes and configurations performed.Report progress and results of testing and automation activities.Qualifications & Experience Students of Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with expected graduation in December 2026 or later.Skills in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and block diagrams.Information Technology concepts – IP configuration, operational system installation.Valued concepts – Machine learning algorithms, Computer networks configuration, Linux OS experience, machine virtualization with VMWare.It will be a plus if you have knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.It will be a plus if you have knowledge of software configuration management and version control using tools like Git.Analytical and synthesis skills.Effective active listening and communication skills.Strong teamwork abilities.Native/Advanced Portuguese.Travel required – Not required.
