ABOUT THE ROLE
The Materials Manager will oversee activities relating to the purchase and procurement of materials and equipment used on substation, transmission, distribution, solar, and battery storage projects.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all purchases adhere to all established policies and procedures.
Manage vendor (distribution and manufacturing) relationships and expectations involved with procuring materials, equipment, and services.
Prepare, verify, and forward purchase orders.
Complete analysis of pricing and price comparison for materials and equipment used in projects.
Collaborate with estimating to keep bids current, accurate, and competitive.
Provide procurement support to project managers.
Work with Operations team to ensure suppliers are delivering according to contract.
Interact with various internal departments to improve current procurement practices and coordinate excellent service to internal customers.
Create innovative agreements that bring added value to our business.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location.

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications:
Solid working knowledge of electric construction materials, equipment, and services used in commercial and industrial projects.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to mentor and train colleagues and proven ability to supervise employees.
Proficient understanding of MS Office Suite applications, especially Excel.
Valid Drivers License.
Team player.
Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies.
Basic understanding of materials accounting practices.
Minimum 2 years in a purchasing/procurement role.
High school diploma or GED.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $70,100 - $105,000 / year commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
