Description of Duties: The Service Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the company's service operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
This professional must combine a strategic business vision with strong technical knowledge, supporting distributors in offering services to their clients.
The success criteria for this position is to prepare Valley's distribution network to implement and offer various service packages, such as extended warranties, specialized technical support, parts replacement and repair packages, insurance, periodic inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance, and machine fleet monitoring through integrated telemetry (client-dealer-factory).
This position is responsible for the oversight and direction of all personnel, resources, and activities of the field services team.
The Manager is responsible for all departmental budgetary management.
The incumbent will actively participate in operational and strategic planning activities with other members of the management team.
Information transfer in this position involves a wide range of human relations skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in engineering or agricultural fields; Six plus years of professional work experience in agriculture; Desirable work experience directing a field operation's team; The ability to read and interpret installation drawings and schematics; A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; The ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time; Additional Qualifications: The ability to balance Field Services workforce and equipment resources based on a prioritization list of business requirements; Understanding the sales process in agribusiness (industry-dealer-grower); A sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems; A broad range of experience in the irrigation or agriculture; Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience in sales (preferable in agriculture related companies).
Organization: Field Services Manager reports directly to the Engineering and Service Manager, who in turn reports to the Brazil Irrigation Vice President.
The Field Services Manager has direct reports.

Essential Functions: Develop and implement plans / road maps for the Field Services department.
Planning horizons are 3-5 years for strategic initiatives and 1-2 years for operational / tactical initiatives Responsible for the oversight of all service goals; Assist with dealer training and development as required to meet the objectives of the business.
Learn about competitor products and related service applications in order to provide competitive information to Sales and assist them in selling against the competition Monitor service-related costs and pricing and makes recommendations for pricing changes in conjunction with product sales pricing that ensures product profitability;
