Title and Summary
Vice President, Access & Gateway, Network, & Switching, LAC
The Vice President, Network Products, Access and Gateway will join a team driving technology strategy around the future of Mastercard's global core payments network and the enablement of our Services strategy.
The successful candidate will lead the definition and execution of product go-to-market and commercialization strategies for new and existing product offerings with a focus on the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region and will help define our technology and network strategy, leading efforts from an initial problem statement and analysis to implementation.
The role will involve building a sophisticated understanding of the technical functioning of our systems – and will also demand the ability to develop a clear business view of varying market needs.
It will call for close collaboration with internal technical teams, regional market-facing teams, and customers, product teams, and other business owners within Mastercard to identify needs, shape the regional approach, and drive alignment.
Role
Define and maintain MA's LAC Network Products (including switching), Access and Gateway go-to-market and growth strategy.
Assess the business feasibility and define a roadmap for market expansion for gateway and access services – including organic and inorganic options.
Engage with local stakeholders to enable and scale our switching capabilities.
Develop and maintain a strong leadership on regional market landscape, customer needs, competitor strategies.
Co-lead/support engagements with customers and market participants regarding our core network value proposition.
Shepherd new product concepts through the regional PME/Studio process to enable market launches.
Develop go-to-market strategies, identifying target or pilot regions or customers, driving customer engagement and communications, proposing any pricing or economic impact, and working with internal delivery teams to ensure successful rollout – independently or in partnership with business owners as needed.
Own the regional P&L and lead commercialization strategies for the region to enable rollout, scaling, and monetization of new product offerings.
Be the spokesperson for the core network in the region, drive proactive internal and external communications to highlight MA's competitive differentiation.
Provide input into and influence the global product development and prioritization based on regional needs and priorities.
Support ongoing product management for existing products.
Build strong relationships with other business and technical teams and engage internal product teams and business owners, as well as regional market-facing teams and customers around the world, to identify and understand network needs and challenges.
Collaborate closely with internal technology teams to develop a clear perspective on the Mastercard technology systems.

Prior experience in payments, including technical knowledge, is required.
Strong understanding of payments industry value chain dynamics.
