Job Description Summary The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop by providing leadership and management for workshop and field services. Leads the workshop operations, encompassing all aspects including personnel management and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Supervises a team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians, contributing to the implementation of the Service strategy and fostering Service growth by ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective service offerings, solutions, and projects (e.g., Field service, repair) for customers. Drives service performance through meticulous planning and effective resource allocation, adhering to standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Your Responsibilities: Service Delivery: Ensures planning and execution of various Service activities carried out both off and on site. Drives and monitors Service execution with respect to the agreed terms of schedule, quality, cost, margin, and customer satisfaction.Performance Targets: Allocates, drives and monitors work to projects based on order content, delivery time, competencies and workload. Effectively utilizes available resources through proper planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets (e.g., OTD, response time, ordered service offerings, update of installed based data).Materials & Warranty: Ensures work assignments are accurately classified as warrantee or non-warrantee status. Ensures that materials and components to feed Service delivery are provided optimizing cost, stock and timing.Customer Approach: Collaborates within local service units and with other Service teams to promote One Accelleron approach towards customers. Builds sustainable customer relationships to ensure local client growth, satisfaction, and retention together with Sales. Drives consistent development of processes and practices based on customer feedback (Net Promoter Score (NPS)).Operational Excellence: Drives continuous service productivity improvement activities in the assigned Service team in collaboration with the Operational Excellence team. Utilizes efficient tools (e.g., Mobile Service Assist (MSA)) to streamline Service processes and applications to support the customer. Ensures the transfer of Service findings to the product/system local units for improvement of their offerings.Health, Safety, and Integrity: Ensures compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives, and ensures instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements actions to ensure people and equipment safety.Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, resourced and supervised. Ensures all Field Service team members are certified in line with global certification and local regulations. Reviews competence levels to ensure each Service Engineer (including subcontractors) is appropriately qualified to handle jobs assigned to them.
Other Duties as Required: Support cross-functional initiatives and projects as assigned by management. Adapt to changing business needs and priorities, taking on additional responsibilities when necessary.

You should be able to navigate the premises efficiently and comfortably.Lifting and Carrying: Depending on the nature of the business, there may be instances where you need to lift or carry items such as equipment, supplies, or small packages. The ability to lift and carry a reasonable amount of weight is beneficial.Stamina and Endurance: Being a General Manager often involves long hours and a fast-paced work environment. You should have the physical stamina and endurance to handle the demands of the job, including extended periods of standing, attending meetings, and managing various tasks.Manual Dexterity: The role may require performing tasks that involve manual dexterity, such as operating office equipment, handling paperwork, or using tools or instruments specific to your industry.Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing abilities are essential to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and stakeholders. This includes reading documents, analyzing data, participating in meetings or presentations, and using computers.Computer and Online Communication: As a General Manager, proficiency in computer usage and online communication is crucial. You will be responsible for utilizing various software applications, conducting online research, analyzing data, managing electronic documents, and communicating via email, video conferencing, and other online platforms.
