We are seeking a senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Javascript, TypeScript, Python, and generative AI to join our team at BotBot.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our AI-driven educational products, ensuring seamless integration with our frontend systems and robotics projects.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in structuring and developing our backend services that interface with our comprehensive educational platforms, while collaborating closely with other team members to ensure efficient development and integration of various systems.Requirements:Strong proficiency in Supabase or similar backend-as-a-service platforms (e.g., Firebase), including authentication, databases (PostgreSQL), and real-time functionalities.Expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).Proficiency in Python, with experience in developing and integrating Python-based AI services.Experience with Generative AI technologies, including developing, deploying, and managing generative AI models and services.Solid understanding of backend architecture and best practices, including API design, microservices, and serverless functions.Proficiency in API integration (RESTful and GraphQL) and handling asynchronous operations.Experience with database management, particularly PostgreSQL, and familiarity with ORM tools.Experience with three.js is preferred.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Experience with robotics development or similar interdisciplinary projects is preferred.Basic knowledge of general concepts around artificial intelligence and how they integrate with backend services.Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Working proficiency in English, as we have team members from all around.What We Offer:A dynamic, innovative environment at the forefront of educational technology and robotics.Opportunities to work on groundbreaking projects that integrate AI and robotics to enhance educational experiences.Hybrid work model: While backend development can be managed remotely, collaboration with robotics teams may require occasional visits to our office (Faria Lima, São Paulo, SP).
