AKE International is recruiting for the position of Brazil Security Analyst to join a dynamic intelligence team in providing bespoke risk consulting for a multinational company in the energy sector. This full-time position will be embedded in the client's team in either Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo. The Brazil Analyst will maintain an effective information collection network, generate a range reports to alert key personnel of relevant threats to security and business activity in Brazil, lead on local incident and trend analysis to assist security and business activities, and monitor security trends. Duties and Responsibilities may include: Assessing national level threats and drafting assessments (including monthly reports, flash reports and intelligence briefs to in-country leadership). Intelligence collection and analysis to support the company's decision making process. Management of information databases to ensure long term trends of security activity can be effectively monitored. Enhancing local and national intelligence networks. Requirements: Proficiency in Portuguese and English, with excellent verbal skills and ability to write in a clear and concise manner. Spanish is desirable. Hold a bachelor's degree but be preferably educated to post-graduate level in a relevant discipline. Deep knowledge of Brazil (politics, history, culture, security, regional context) A demonstrated ability to both work within a team and independently. Highly organised with effective time management skills. A strong communicator, both written and verbally, to present complex regional developments. Experience with open source intelligence tools and techniques.
