Chief Technology Officer

Acorn Advisory is an M&A advisory firm, focused on executing global and local transactions ensuring the best value extraction for its clients.We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology development team. This is a full-time remote position and the selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's long term technology strategy, which includes driving innovation, managing and mentoring the tech team, promoting IT operational excellence, as well as controlling the area's budget and strategic goals.Key responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's long-term objectives and market dynamicsLead and mentor a diverse tech team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovationManage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness while achieving strategic objectivesDrive operational excellence in all IT domains, ensuring the highest standards of security and reliabilityCollaborate with other departments to integrate technology solutions that enhance overall business efficiency and productivityStay updated of emerging technologies trends and innovations, integrating them into the company's strategyEstablish robust IT governance and risk management frameworks to ensure compliance with regulations and protection against cyber threatsFoster a culture that supports agile methodologies and a mindset of continuous improvementQualifications:Software development and product development skillsProject management skillsIT Strategy and architecture skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldMBA or an equivalent degree will be a plusPrevious experience in an M&A advisory business will be a plus
