Role Description
The digital marketing strategist is responsible for ongoing analysis, setting digital marketing strategy, and overseeing the execution of strategy on behalf of our clients.
On occasion, the strategist will help with execution and will regularly speak with clients regarding our approach and specific strategic recommendations.
They will work closely with the project manager to ensure that work is moving through the pipeline and is communicated to our clients every week.
Responsibilities
Client Communication (video conferencing, email & Loom)
Client Strategy
Understand client initiatives and goals.
Analyze clients' marketing plans and set digital marketing strategies to better connect clients with their audience and grow revenue.
Pitch fresh and innovative ideas to clients.
Oversee Marketing Specialists
Perform quality control and provide feedback to team on how to improve output
Meet regularly with team members to track and discuss progress toward each client's goals.
Train team members on channel strategy and how each channel works together to drive growth.
Ensure specialists are following process and reviewing/updating on a regular basis.
Build and maintain good relationships with team members
Personal education
Expand knowledge of digital marketing principles by certifying (and recertifying each year) in the following areas:
Google Analytics (GA4)
Meta Blueprint
Google Ads
Pinterest Academy
Internal & External Report Creation
Required Skills
Native-level fluency in written and spoken English
Results & deadline driven
Excellent written & verbal communication
Proven track record of delivering year-over-year growth for ecommerce brands
Thorough understanding of how all marketing channels work together to drive growth
Understanding key ecommerce metrics and how to use them to drive growth (AOV, LTV, Repurchase Rate, CAC Payback Period, etc.)
Being personable – able to build relationships with client and team members
Strong presentation skills
Able to manage the workload independently
Experience
Minimum of 4 years of digital marketing experience
Minimum of 3 years working on ecommerce brands
Minimum of 2 years of Google Analytics experience
Must be GA4 Certified before beginning engagement
High-level understanding of Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, Email Marketing, SMS Marketing & Shopify
Minimum of 2 years experience working remotely.
Communication Expectations
Communication will take place primarily through email video conferences (Google Meet), email, and Google Chat.
Be available from 9-5pm Mountain Standard Time.
