About the Position We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the global ESG scene, expertise in implementing global sustainability standards, and passion for sustainability.
The role will be key in Patria's Responsible Investment team.
This position will lead the active engagement with Patria's controlled private equity and infrastructure portfolio, ensuring the adoption of best practices, compliance with client and regulatory requirements, evolution of ESG integration, compliance with defined ESG Action Plans, measuring and monitoring of KPIs, among other responsibilities.
The role leads the construction of the necessary ESG tools (playbooks, guidelines, etc.)
for the portfolio companies to support their ESG maturation journey.
The work of this position will be dynamic and evolving, leading the Responsible Investment team in the integration of ESG considerations at Patria under strong governance, as expected by regulation and Patria's clients.
The selected person will be part of the Value Creation ESG area, based in our São Paulo, in a full in-person work model.
Main Responsibilities Ensure strong E&S Risk Management and Value Creation Active engagement: Provide portfolio companies guidance on best practices, tools and standards.
Lead the construction of tools and standards as pertinent to support portfolio companies' journeys.
ESG KPIs: Ensure reliable measurement, and monitoring through our Resource Advisor Platform.
Analyze information and provide quarterly reports on performance of portfolio.
Report relevant KPIs for investors, due diligence questionnaires, and annual reports.
ESG Action Plan: Follow-up Action Plans per company and ensure meeting of goals.
Calibrate annually action plans with portfolio companies.
Prepare to report to investors, especially of infrastructure funds, relevant information on Action Plans.
Establish governance and processes for the sound integration of sustainability and ESG risk management at the portfolio level.
Collaborate with different areas of Value Creation to ensure the diverse aspects of sustainability are addressed by the pertinent area (Compliance, Human Resources, Procurement, Operations, etc.).
Provide updates to internal teams on relevant regulations and client requirements.
Lead the Responsible Business and Sustainability Value Creation Forum with portfolio companies.
Supports divestment readiness.
Support the construction of all necessary annual reports (PRI, PAX, reports for DFIs, etc.).
Other ESG-related analysis and responsibilities based that may come up.
Minimum Qualifications Strong understanding of the global ESG agenda, especially in environmental and social matters.
Fluent English.
10+ years of progressive experience in ESG and sustainability.
Capacity to build and review KPIs, and capacity for rigorous analysis.
Interest in the financial market and risk management.
