Job Introduction
DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint an experienced paralegal, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Casualty Injury Team.
This role involves working with a partner and Team Manager on complex high-value employers and public liability claims, predominantly over £250k.
There will also be an opportunity for the candidate to run their own caseload of cases valued up to £100k.
Our National team serves a mix of leading names in the insurance industry and household name corporates, dealing with all aspects of defendant litigation, including catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, motor, casualty, disease, product, professional negligence, and health and safety.
The team is increasingly involved in pre-emptive advice on these issues as well as dispute resolution.

What you will do
Assist with the running of complex claims to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion.
Run a modest caseload to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively (if the candidate wishes).
Ensure work meets the needs of clients and adheres to internal and client SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
Achieve agreed financial targets and ensure prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements.
Support a clear case strategy and manage risk and compliance issues within each case.
Engage with clients to maximize opportunities and build rapport.
Contribute to Business Development and client relationship activity.
Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training sessions and relevant publications.
Who you are
0-5 years' experience in a similar role.
Experience in Multi Track or Fast Track Claims.
EL/PL Experience.
High level of personal compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
Good legal knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues.
High standard of written and oral communication skills.
Confident negotiator with attention to detail.
Team-oriented and willing to support other team members.
Demonstrates alignment with the Firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined, and Supportive).
