Your Purpose
The candidate will be part of the Finance organization and will manage the accounting for one of the Bitso entities, which engages in various business initiatives, including cryptocurrency and fiat investments, OTC trading, and intercompany payments. The candidate is expected to have a good understanding of accounting and financial investments.

Who You Are
Failure to meet any of the following required qualifications could result in an automatic rejection.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
Master's degree in Finance or participation in the CFA program is strongly preferred.
At least 2 years of accounting experience.
At least 2 years of exposure to financial markets.
Fluent in English.
What You Will Do
Market Data Analysis: Analyzing market data to determine the fair value of trading positions, derivatives, and other financial instruments.
Investment Valuations: Overseeing the entity's investments to ensure that their valuations are updated regularly and accurately to reflect market conditions.
Impairment Calculation and Fair Value Method: Maintaining detailed documentation and justification for impairment and fair value adjustments in accordance with IFRS accounting standards.
End-to-end Accounting: Meticulously managing the accounting processes for our portfolios and strategies, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as IFRS.
Reconciliation: Conducting reconciliations between the accounting records and trading systems or documentation to ensure accuracy.
Active involvement in new business initiatives: You will often need to understand transaction flows, analyze them, and raise any items that might present a concern from an accounting or regulatory point of view.
Optimize and automate operational work, such as reconciliations, journal vouchers preparations and their submissions into the ERP (NetSuite).
Audit Coordination: Coordinating with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support for the audit of financial statements.
