This position will be based in our Office in São Paulo in a full in-person capacity.
Main responsibilities:
The position will report directly to the global Head of Risk Management & Internal Control. The incumbent should have proven experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis and in the creation of the governance regarding market, liquidity and credit risk of an asset management business and its funds. Strong domain of regulation, especially Brazilian. Liaising with regulators and due diligence with clients. Good understanding of Operational Risk: (e.g.) Risk Mapping exercise, Operational Event Governance.
The tasks to be performed by this position include, but are not limited to:
Ensure compliance with regulations such as: Basel (Solvency), IFRS, SEC, CVM (e.g. RCVM 175), etc.
Create Policies and Procedures, implement Controls and offer counsel on Governance best practices.
Lead the Implementation of the Regulatory Risk framework, considering the compliance of the fund's bylaws requirements, as well as regulatory and legal framework in each of the jurisdictions of the Corporation.
Build the 2nd Line of Defense Procedures, Controls and Dashboards with KPIs to evaluate the different types of risks (Liquidity, Market, Operational, Credit).
Lead teamwork.
Perform Executive presentations of results and recommendations.
Liaise with regulators and clients.
Main requirements:
Bachelor's degree in (not limited to) Economic science, Business Administration or Accounting, with a specialization in finance.
Internal Control within a publicly traded company.
Financial Risks.
SOX or Operational Risk (desirable).
Regulatory environment, especially of Brazil's.
IFRS Knowledge.
Other methodologies such as: ERM, COSO, COBIT, NIST, etc. are a plus.
Fluent English is a must. Spanish is desirable.
