Position Overview: Head of Analytics We're looking for a Head of Analytics to establish and lead the data function for one of our affiliated companies. If building a data-centric culture from scratch excites you, continue reading. Build Something from the Ground Up: You'll be responsible for building the data function from scratch in this role. We already have a clean foundation (all data in a warehouse & basic views set up), but you will have complete ownership of building the data function. Core Responsibilities: Business Problem-Solving: Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Proactively seek opportunities and ask the right questions to drive business value. Advanced SQL & Data Skills: Excel in SQL, including complex joins and window functions. Clean and transform data to extract meaningful insights. Foundational Engineering Skills: Use tools like DBT to build and document reusable tables. Focus on creating scalable data solutions. Data Visualization Expertise: Leverage data visualization tools to create interactive and insightful dashboards, enabling end users to explore data effectively. Ensuring Data Integrity: Maintain high standards of data accuracy by performing rigorous checks and validating data transfers between sources. Data Engineering & Dictionary: You can use tools like DBT to create tables that we can maintain and reuse, and you're able to document everything for scalability's sake. Tableau / Data Visualization: You're familiar with the power of data visualization and how to present data in a way that end users can cut, filter, manipulate, and solve problems. Strong Data Integrity Intuition: We do our best to keep the data clean, but as we all know, no data is perfect. You know how to look at a set of tables and make sense of them. You can test your assumptions, and do gut checks on 'does this make sense'? When we create data pipelines, you'll be the one making sure that data is transferred from one source to another properly.
