Main ResponsibilitiesContribute to development of health, safety and environment strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.Draft plans and ensure implementation of health, safety and environment operational plans, measures and budgets to achieve defined results.Organize and ensure delivery of large projects and initiatives to improve organization's environmental and safety performance.Lay down standards, practices and tools to achieve the desired standards of health and safety.Ensure consistent and thorough implementation of health and safety frameworks and standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal and external safety standards, and relevant regulations.Design policies and ensure identification and mitigation of potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices and working conditions within the workplace and external environments.Recommend solutions for the transportation of hazardous material with an understanding of the risks and compliance issues.Define and ensure adherence to adequate emergency evacuation procedures and training.Coordinate orientation activities and daily inspections in the operations facilities, grounds and administrative areas, changes in layout and installation of new equipment in order to meet safety rules and standards.Schedule and ensure execution of audits, investigations and studies to ensure that organizational and government standards, and local laws on health, safety and industrial hygiene are met.Share advice and training on safety protocols and promote safety-conscious work performance.Build relationships with the community, environmental groups and law enforcement bodies to enhance environmental performance of the organization.Study issues, determine opportunities and introduce best practices for health, safety and environment focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.Stakeholders & DifferentiatorInfluence others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.Develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across DHL.Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.Advise customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems and tools.Responsible for policy and strategy implementation and short-term results.Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex.RequirementsBachelor degree.Fluent in English.Health, safety and environment experience.Previous experience in risk management.Work location: São Paulo - SP (Santo Amaro/On site)
