Job Responsibilities:
Assure Indirect tax compliance requirements for MEXICO Legal entities.
Perform tax calculations for Indirect taxes (VAT, IEPs, WHTs).
Prepare and deliver tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
Conduct monthly reconciliation and present the blackline, including explanations for correlative accounting entries or proposing adjustments.
Validate invoices and analyze workflows.
Assess and research complex tax issues to identify solutions.
Manage and maintain the company's tax database (TAX IT Projects and Tickets).
Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits.
Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.
Act as the internal process owner for internal and external audits for the area, including finding documents and supporting inquiries.
Responsible for presenting the VAT REFUND process monthly and addressing authorities' requirements related to this process.
Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that minimize tax burden.
Collaborate with internal customers (Customer Services, Logistics, and Comex) to support invoice-related issues and projects.
Required Experience:
At least 5 years in a similar role in a transformation industry multinational company.
Deep knowledge of tax regulations in Mexico.
Advanced English proficiency.
Fluent in Spanish.
Previous experience in system implementation or version updates (SAP).
Proficiency in Excel.
Strong ownership and accountability.
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with teams.
Excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive business view and impact.
Ability to work autonomously.
