We are looking for an HPC Team Leader to join our global IT team, responsible for leading daily IT operations, managing and mentoring a team, and ensuring seamless HPC and Cloud infrastructure performance.
This position will involve close collaboration with our DevOps team to drive the transition from traditional IT Ops to a more Agile environment while optimizing network infrastructure and system functionality.
As a senior member of our organization, you will be a key figure in shaping our technology infrastructure and operations, ensuring network reliability, addressing system issues, and implementing best practices for IT service management.
This role will emphasize both leadership in IT operations and hands-on technical expertise in networking, cloud technologies, and system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentoring and Leadership:
Lead and mentor IT staff, providing guidance, setting goals, and ensuring compliance with company IT policies.
Coach team members to develop their skills and improve team performance in HPC and Cloud environments.
IT Operations and Network Infrastructure:
Lead daily IT operations with a focus on network performance, system reliability, and quick resolution of technical issues.
Oversee network configurations (LAN/WAN), hardware maintenance (Storage/CPU/GPU), smartphone setup, and videoconferencing systems.
Manage third-line technical support, ensuring tools and operational maintenance models are efficient.
System and Infrastructure Improvement:
Improve and develop systems and infrastructure with Agile methodologies, optimizing both hardware and software.
Ensure continued stability, availability, and performance of platforms, and provide support for evolving user needs.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments to align IT services with user and business needs, contributing to operational goals.
Work closely with the team to ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets and network troubleshooting.
Project Management and Security:
Define and manage project deadlines, ensuring IT projects are delivered on time and aligned with operational goals.
Stay up-to-date on networking and technology trends, implementing best practices to enhance performance and security.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 IT support.
Qualifications and Experience:
3–5 years of leadership experience.
5+ years of experience in relevant fields like IT support, networking, or HPC environments.
Extensive Linux administration experience, preferably in an HPC setting.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless) and troubleshooting.
Experience with Agile Project Management and ITIL Foundation certification.
Fluent in English (both written and verbal) with excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Hands-on experience with help desk systems, IT service management, and network security best practices.
High-level understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools such as Ansible, OpenStack, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Docker, etc.
Experience in cloud administration, virtualization, and hardware maintenance (Storage/CPU/GPU).
Certifications like CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
