Cascadia Scientific is thrilled to announce the addition of a National Account Director with a specialized focus on the Brazilian market to our team.
Cascadia is a clean-tech company and leader in the application of machine learning in the mining industry, serving clients across five continents, including some of the largest mining companies in the world.
We deliver an IIOT platform that measures and reports high-accuracy fuel consumption in mining haulage environments, providing insights to drive operational efficiencies.
Cascadia is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with employees based in several countries worldwide.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Management: Oversee the commercial relationship with key Brazilian clients, ensuring project continuation and upsell opportunities.
Corporate Engagement: Build relationships & facilitate corporate engagement with key Brazilian clients.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy for new opportunities within existing accounts, or with net new accounts, conducting regular meetings and site visits.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to client's mining operations to strengthen relationships and support ongoing projects.
Management of Brazil: Oversee and manage the commercial activities of Cascadia Scientific in Brazil, through Cascadia's subsidiary in Brazil.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mining Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in account management and business development.
Proven experience in account management or sales within the mining or related industries.
Strong relationship-building skills with demonstrated success in managing key accounts.
Familiarity with the Brazilian mining market, particularly with companies like Vale, CSN, and Usiminas.
Experience conducting site visits and engaging with corporate stakeholders at various management levels.
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Solid experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office suite of products.
Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time for site visits and corporate engagements.
Competency in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a home office role located in Brazil.
Flexible working hours, but the role will require a commitment to regular meetings and site visits, with specific targets for engagement with key accounts.
