Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
This position is part of Optics Business Development & Pre-sales team working closely with several of our key service provider accounts with the objective of growing our business of software and services around optical networking.
You will work directly with our customer's planning, engineering, and operations.
As an Automation & Services business development professional, you have solid background in selling software and services as well as solid knowledge on optical networking with both technical and sales experience.
**What you will learn and contribute to**
As part of our team, you will:
- Help customer sales team develop sales strategy and new product introduction.
- Help customer develop their transport network automation strategy.
- Help customer create new revenue streams leveraging Nokia's Optical software and professional services capabilities.
- Be capable of delivering solutions presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Have a solid understanding of the software and services marketplace.
- Be prepared to feed accurate product development feedback into product line management based on current and anticipated customer requirements.
- Be flexible with job-function and be willing to assist with multiple service provider accounts.
**Your skills and experience**
- English and Portuguese proficiency, Spanish will be a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a customer facing and consulting role (preferred optical sales, technical sales engineer, etc.).
- Background in server environments and SW deployment management; experience in data center, telco environment and Network Management Systems ideally familiarity with Nokia NFM-T & WaveSuite a plus
- Knowledge and practical experience in most if not all of the following areas:
- Virtualization, Linux, Dockers, Open APIs like RESTful, Kafka, TAPI
- Scripting and Automation
- Optical Transport Networks, DWDM, ideally familiarity with Nokia 1830 a plus
- GMPLS, Ethernet Switching, IP Routing & Networking
**Requirements**:
Sales Skills:
- Ability to present complex ideas in a seamless way
- Understanding of complex sales strategies
- Ability to consult and influence customers, real-world examples desired
- Learn customer "pain-points" and be able to clearly articulate these internally
- Existing relationships with CSPs in LATAM a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Clear understanding of Optical Market
- Optical/OTN/Ethernet knowledge required
- Software and Network Management Systems experience
- IP and 5G experience a plus
- Proficient at Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Product Development:
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams
- Ability to track internal actions to be sure they are aligning with customer needs
General:
- Solid written and verbal communication skills; solid customer communication etiquette and presentation skills.
- Willing to travel extensively without much notice.
