NoOffer DescriptionThe Laboratory of Clinical Investigation in Insulin Resistance at the State University of Campinas's School of Medical Sciences (FCM-UNICAMP) in Brazil is in the selection process for a Post-Doctorate. The project aims to investigate the effects of the hormones GIP and GLP-1 on the subclinical inflammatory process of muscle, adipose, vascular, hepatic, and brain tissues in experimental animal models.The opportunity is aimed at researchers who have completed their doctorate in the last four years, preferably in Nutrition or related areas. It is desirable that the focus of the thesis be on topics such as energy metabolism, obesity, diabetes, microbiota, inflammation, or neuroendocrinology. Experiences of international collaboration, such as exchanges or part of the doctorate carried out in prestigious international institutions, are valued. The candidate must have at least two articles as first author published in international scientific journals.As technical skills, the candidate is expected to have proven experience in DNA/RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR, RT-qPCR, ELISA, Western Blot, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, stereotactic surgery, as well as practice with mice and behavioral experiments. Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory, as well as experience in teaching and supervising students, with experience in laboratory training and research guidance.This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality.
