This Pricing Manager role is within the Digital Applications & Support team in Global Machine Pricing (GMP) and will serve as the leader for the Digital Execution & Support team for machine pricing and merchandising systems, tools, and data.
Major responsibilities include training, managing, and directing a team; serving as the key point of contact for application support issues; and representing GMP for major enterprise initiatives.
What you will do:
Lead the team that ensures software applications/tools and business processes focused on analysis and management of revenue, prices, sales variance, and related factors are well supported and enhanced.
Liaison between GMP's Product Owner organization, business users, and technical partners to ensure that solutions meet or exceed business requirements.
Align priorities and workplans to the Global Finance and GMP strategy.
Personally handle high-level complicated analysis and problem solving.
Manage, train, and supervise the pricing staff responsible for pricing processes and systems.
Ownership and accountability of revenue-related Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
Regular direct external contact with vendor resources and internal contact with upper Caterpillar management.
Guide own development and direct others' continual learning through training.
Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluations of the team.

What you will have:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in information technology, business administration, finance, or related fields; 10-15 years of job-related experience; prior work experience in Pricing or IT related job role.
Customer Focus:
Knowledge of customer needs and satisfaction.
Data Gathering & Analysis:
Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions.

Ability to effectively transmit and receive ideas and information.

Top Candidates Will Have:
Prior supervisory experience.
Prior experience in new system design, deployment or support.
Familiarity with Pricing systems and processes.
Understanding of Caterpillar IT and IT partners.
General understanding of Order to Cash process.
