As a developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end feature development from requirements, design and implementation of software components across global deployments at scale.

The primary areas of technology this team works on are Java, Web, REST, micro-services and Spring Boot.THE ROLEEngage within the larger SAP Concur Analytics team and with the Area Principal to evolve the SDLC and operational supportUse computer programming languages, software tools, and software development environments to code, modify, and maintain programsInvestigate product issues, analyze layers of code for origin of bugs, and recommend solutions to cross-functional teamsDevelopment against database systems including making changes to schemas, stored procedures, views, and functionsProduce designs for assigned application features/enhancements that follow security by design principlesProvide feedback on functionality requests regarding feasibility and complexityReview projects to verify accuracy and effectiveness of codingActively participate in code and design reviewsParticipate in after-hours escalation proceduresAdvocate for and implement DevOps and SRE best practicesActively mentor junior developersEnhance and maintain continuous integration with best practices such as zero-downtime deployments, canaries, frequent deployments, and feature-flag-driven developmentACCOUNTABILITIESCompliance with global security and technical mandates and standardsDelivery against commitments of technical and functional product roadmap itemsROLE REQUIREMENTSEngineering degree in computer science or equivalent in technical disciplineHands-on software development experience in similar technologiesStrong experience in JAVA, JAVA Frameworks (such as Spring Boot) and Design PatternsExperience in PythonExperience in AnsibleExperience in Shell ScriptExperience in SQL and NoSQL storesStrong experience in SQL optimization is preferred.Experience with container ecosystems (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes) and ideally AWS primitives (such as EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo, etc.
)Experience with cloud platform application development is a plusDemonstrated knowledge of software tools, documentation process, and development processExperience working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factorsAwareness of business issues and their impact on product developmentAbility to comply with team standards but take ownership to evolveAble to adapt to changing working conditions and assignments and work across organizations and geographies to solve problems blocking team progressPossess solid interpersonal and team-building skillsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsExcellent communication skills in English.
