As a **Sr Procurement Lead Category**, you will be an integral part of the local Procurement team driving continuous improvement to identify and deliver specific short-, medium
- and long-term strategies and projects to drive improved efficiency and effectiveness in the global function and external supply chain in Baker Hughes Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore.
As a **Sr Procurement Lead Category**, you will be responsible for:
- Provide Strategic Procurement leadership for assigned categories
- Engage with, and influence, senior internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and execute category strategies to enable growth, increase margin, reduce costs, and rationalize the supply base
- Collaborate with stakeholders Product Line, Manufacturing and Engineering on category strategies
- Negotiate Supply agreements: long term and/or strategic agreements)
- Negotiate price, capacity, payment terms, supplier chargebacks, etc.
with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with S&OP, Product Line, Operations, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing organizations
- Lead and coordinate top suppliers monthly/quarterly meetings to drive increased performance, continuous improvement, and global alignment.
- Responsible for driving the established optimized sourcing strategy of volume leverage and advance release linked to the BOP
- Manage Supply chain and functional risk
- Drive initiatives such as payment terms improvement, material cost out, sole source mitigation, lead time reduction and on-time delivery improvement.
- Work close with Commodity team to ensure Procurement strategy alignment during tender phase

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have Bachelor's degree (MBA or master's is a plus)
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Understanding of Procurement concepts, methods, procedures, and approaches - particularly Total Cost of Ownership and product specifications cost levers
- Great interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, motivate and influence others
- Great problem-solving skills, and strong experience leading and influencing others
- A demonstrable technical mindset and approach with attention to detail
- Outcome focused and able to manage multiple priorities to deadlines
Desired Characteristics
- Previous experience of commodity and engineered polymers and/or high-grade metals.
- Project management, technical and /or materials experience
- A recognized professional and/or academic qualification.
e.g., MCIPS/CPSM/CPIM
- Experience of a manufacturing / engineering environment, Oil and Gas sector is preferred but not essential
