Job Purpose: We are looking for a passionate and hard-working person to launch, execute and grow the Brazilian social media channels of an NBA team on Instagram and TikTok. The team's ambition is to grow their fanbase in Brasil through locally relevant, engaging, and exciting social media content. The Social Media Manager will lead the posting and community management on the team's Brasil Instagram and TikTok channels, growing their audience and fan engagement. The right individual for this role will uphold and devise content best practices, identify new content opportunities, and contribute innovative ideas to ensure the client's social output is best-in-class. The ideal candidate will be based in Brasil and be fluent in Portuguese as well as English. All non-event work will be completed remotely. Job Duties and Key Responsibilities: Create and/or publish engaging and shareable made-for-social content, whether planned and structured or quick and reactive Work closely with the IMG team to ensure social content is shared effectively, timely, and engagingly Oversee live gameday coverage, managing templates and re-purposing video assets to deliver content via localized copy Execute weekly social media content calendar Contribute new ideas in weekly content calls with internal team Assist with production and localisation of editorial content on social media channels e.g., using available production tools to update graphics Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounts have the necessary staffing and active live coverage around games and events Ensure all social tasks and requests are completed professionally, on time, and to a high-quality standard Share knowledge with IMG team members and stakeholders to learn common lessons and achieve shared goals Observe current industry trends, market changes, and competitor output to ensure IMG can capitalize on emerging opportunities Virtually attend meetings to discuss, present and define both short and long-term content planning Desired Qualifications: A proven interest in digital content and creative A strong professional experience managing TikTok and Instagram channels Minimum of three years of professional experience in social media (or similar roles) A deep knowledge of the NBA, including key news, events, and trends A good understanding of the Brazilian sports market, specifically how to engage fans in the Portuguese language Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written), with perfect spelling, grammar and syntax Strong spoken and written English to communicate with wider project team Experience editing videos to create channel specific content An eye for detail and the ability to proofread, edit and fact-check stats-based copy both quickly and efficiently. Time-management and planning skills, with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks Confidence to discuss, plan and give feedback to both the internal leadership team and external partners Knowledge of social media reporting tools and native platforms to ensure key metrics are reported and new features are utilized Strong experience with Adobe Creative Cloud / Photoshop / Microsoft Teams / Microsoft Office Willingness to work weekends and evenings (dependent on game times and high-profile events) Working Conditions: This is a contracted position for 8-10 days split across the month depending on the team's schedule Unsocial hours will be required, as dictated by the demands of the sport including early mornings and late nights This role will be remote, with a preferred candidate based in Brasil
