Provide oversight for one or more Software (SW) Asset Management processes. Focus on managing SW assets, specifically information technology type resources or capabilities that contribute to the delivery of a service, examples are the following: Software, Software License, License Key, Software Contracts, and other Critical Documentation, etc.
Accountable to the organization for stewardship of SW assets deemed as having financial value. Ensure that SW assets required to deliver services are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable information about those SW assets is available when and where it is needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Define software (and potentially hardware) asset management processes, document processes using process workflow and create process documentation
Manually research, gather and load software metadata into technology solution
Write user acceptance test (UAT) cases/UAT metadata and solution
Execute on an/or provide oversight for one or more Software or Hardware Asset Management processes, as required.
Manage Assets, IT resources, or capabilities that contribute to the delivery of an IT service: Software, Software License, License Key, Software Contracts, Virtual Server.
Ensure that assets required to deliver services are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable information about those assets is available when and where it is needed.
Create communications plan/communication material
Create training plan/training material.
Project functions may require a "run function" task below that is established in the project in order to turn over the output to run support.
Qualifications:
English: Advanced or fluent.
6-7 years' experience required on Technical Competencies: Advanced working knowledge of commonly utilized tools (e.g. Service Now, SharePoint, MS Project, MS Office products).
Four-year degree required in related fields of study, or equivalent
Work experience. 6-10 years of direct or indirect exposure to Service Management Service Asset & Configuration, Release, Change, Incident and Problem Management.
