Tasks relate to Output 2 and 3: 2) in selected companies, the economic advantages of electrifying industrial processes with electricity from renewable sources have been demonstrated; 3) needs-driven electrification concepts with electricity from renewable sources are included in the future development of national decarbonisation strategies. In this context, the objective of this assignment is to develop a study to assess the technical and economic potential, and the environmental impact associated with the electrification of three selected subsectors within the Food and Beverage industries in Brazil.Tasks of Expert 1 (Team Leader): Overall responsibility for this Contract.Ensuring the coherence and complementarity of the contractor's services with other services delivered by the project at local and national level.Responsibility for taking cross-cutting themes into consideration (for example, gender equality and ethnic diversity).Staff management, in particular, identifying the need for short-term assignments within the available budget, planning and managing the assignments and supporting local and international experts.Quality control of all deliverables and interim results.Ensuring that monitoring procedures are carried out.Regular reporting in accordance with deadlines.Responsibility for checking the use of funds and financial planning in consultation with the commission manager and the project team at GIZ in Brazil.Supporting the commission manager in updating and/or adapting the project strategy, in evaluations and in preparing a follow-on phase.Maintaining contact with other donors, where applicable.Conceptual guidance to financial partners, GIZ team overall and partners.Coordinate the consultant inputs among the team.Ensure coherence among all documents submitted to GIZ and the national counterparts.Quality assurance of the mechanism overall and all inputs/sections/products/documents and further annexes.
