Job Description Summary The Cyber Professional Services Technician is part of Rockwell Automation's lifecycle services business, focused on providing technical services that may include system startup and troubleshooting across a wide variety of applications and infrastructure. Our business is focused on the areas of Network, Virtualization, and Information Security focused on Industrial Networks (OT). This position requires creativity, experience, and the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly. You will be responsible for performing assigned tasks related to network design, implementation, troubleshooting, virtualization, and security. These actions and knowledge in these technologies will be specific to enabling a Connected Company, connecting the Industrial Internet of Things in the facilities of our main customers. Working with our team of Project Managers and Consultants, you will support the established objectives, work plans and execution of development tasks for a specific solution within the project assignments. Potential candidates must have: Communication skills with the ability to deal with several simultaneous activities related to supporting consultants involved in projects;Interpersonal communication skills;Desire to continue developing skills, knowledge, education, and experience;Sense of urgency and communication style that promotes team collaboration;Ability to review and write detailed documentation that may include customer requirements, system/network infrastructure specifications, observed issues, and remediation recommendations;Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines to protect yourself and others. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technology focused 2-year degree;Knowledge of staging and/or deployment support in one or more of the following areas:Network Infrastructure (switches, routers)Virtualized Infrastructure (VMWare ESXi)Security (Firewalls and DMZ concepts)Experience with drawing and documentation software, such as Microsoft Visio, with the ability to read network architecture diagrams;Familiarity with a variety of networks, virtualized platforms, security concepts, practices, and procedures in a manufacturing or enterprise environment;Working knowledge of differences and installation of copper (CAT5/5e, CAT6) and fiber media (OS1, OS2);Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time. Trips are mainly located within the national territory, but may include international trips;Have a National Driving License, category B;Basic level of English. Preferred qualifications: Experience of 2 years in related activities;'Hands-on' experience in supporting projects in industrial environments including process automation, discrete controls, and automated manufacturing processes & equipment;Experience supporting hardware installation, migration, and upgrades;Experience supporting Ethernet networks;Experience with configuring network equipment;Experience in assembling servers in Rack;Previous experience working as part of a large multidisciplinary team, completing full project lifecycle implementations;Recognized networking, virtualization, or security certification (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware).
