We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Robotics Engineer, that excels at system-level thinking and debugging, to join our dynamic team. You will be supporting deployment bring-up, communicating technical project requirements, identifying technical issues and working with the team to find solutions. We're looking for Robotics Engineers to support and integrate technologies for autonomous systems. What You'll Be DoingDay-to-day working at an active mine site with 3-4 autonomous trucks deployedRunning autonomous trucks through ISO and internal testing and calibrationCombining the autonomous system's feature capabilities in order to complete the mine planIdentifying additional feature requirements; discussing feature specifications and testsSupporting and troubleshooting of issues on site during production hours. Observing unexpected behavior and diagnosing whether it is due to the base truck, hardware, software, network, infrastructure, etcBuilding reports on uptime, common issues, haulage analysis, etcUtilizing and building debug tooling to find issues, including but not limited to: remote access to the autonomous trucks, plotting/observation of messages within a truck computer and on the central site server, utilizing outputs from processes on the trucks, restarting processes, etcBuilding out systems to identify, categorize, and debug issues as they arise. Finding trends within issues and using data over time to identify which issues cause the most downtimeTesting new features outside of production hours; observe and report issuesWorking closely with the Pronto USA team to communicate issues, feature/system requirements, testing and results, and new release changesWorking closely with the Prontobras Brazil operations team to achieve project goalsRequirements2+ years of non-internship professional robotics experienceProgramming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design. Python is preferredProven experience in robotics engineering, with a portfolio of projects demonstrating system-level understanding and debugging capabilitiesAble to create and debug software systems: building maintainable code with good diagnostics that scales.
