Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Research customer goals and scenarios to improve user experience and identify opportunities for innovation.
Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to spot trends and potential areas for differentiation.
Identify product gaps and develop innovative solutions to increase market share and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and engineers, to design optimal technical and product solutions.
Develop and document detailed product requirements, user stories, and prototypes to ensure clarity and alignment with business goals.
Work closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure timely product delivery with a focus on quality and performance.
Drive continuous improvement in product processes, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from previous releases.
Competencies and Skills
Strong expertise in software requirements engineering and formal methods like personas, use cases, and UML.
Proficient in relational database design and skilled in using SQL and ER diagrams.
Proven experience in developing and scaling web applications using key technologies (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Vue.js).
Skilled in wireframing, UI prototyping, and using tools such as Figma.
Broad understanding of usability principles, heuristics, and conducting usability testing.
Excellent communication skills across listening, written, verbal, and visual formats, with a proven ability to articulate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of Agile development principles, including Scrum or Kanban.
Experience with data analytics, business intelligence tools, and using data to drive product decisions.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with incomplete information by making informed assumptions and closing gaps effectively.
Requirements
MBA, business degree, or relevant certifications such as CIMA or CIM.
An IT qualification or strong technical background.
Minimum of two years of experience as a product manager for a SaaS platform, ideally with frequent cloud-based upgrades.
Experience working in an Agile environment and managing the full product lifecycle would be a plus.
